September is National Thyroid Cancer Awareness Month, and The Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center is providing support to thyroid cancer patients and their families by re-organizing its thyroid cancer support group.
The new group is called the Waterbury Area ThyCa Support Group, and will be run by Renée Hurne. Meetings take place the last Tuesday of every month at 6:30 p.m. at the Harold Leever Regional Cancer Center.
"The Waterbury Area ThyCa Support Group aims to provide thyroid cancer patients and their loved ones with resources, support, and the opportunity to share their feelings and challenges with others facing similar experiences," said Hurne.
